Coastal fishing locations

Take a look at some of our fishing snaps, feel free to ask questions or leave comments.

How many have you fished?

Below we take a look at some of the well known fishing spots we have visited. We will aim to add more locations as we fish them not only as a reminder of how things went but also to hopefully help others decide on a spot.

Seaham

Seaham is a town in Co Durham, located on North East coast, it was established the 26th of July 1838. Many industries have called it home over the years which has led to its increase both in shape and population.

Seaham is host to a variety of coastal fishing spots of mixed, smooth and rocky ground.

Sunderland

Sunderland dates back to around 674ad with a long established port, coal and shipbuilding history. Over its time many industries have come and gone but like many coastal towns and city's, fishing has remained a key sport and livelihood of many.

Horden

Horden was first mentioned in the eleventh century with links to farming. The last 100 years has seen the rise and fall of the mining industry with remnants still located on the beach which include slithers of mining belts, bricks and wire.

The beach is well fished and some spots to dig and hunt for crab.
